Cindy Johnson, “Linda’s key ability is to accurately access an athletes strengths and weakness…”
To whom it may concern,
I am writing this reference to highly recommend Linda Hughes of YEA for her knowledge, experience and overall coaching and training methodologies.
I met Linda in 2015 when I became a member of Rocky Mountain Scottish Athletes and started competing in the Rocky Mountain region. From the first day we met she stood out as a person of high integrity, empathy and knowledge. As our interaction increased I learned the extensive and diverse background Linda has in training and coaching athletes. Regardless of this, she never stops learning and in the 5 years I’ve known her she continues to astonish me with her ability to research and apply knowledge in meaningful and result-oriented ways. Several years ago I started strength training and practicing with Linda. My imbalances were evident from the start, and Linda thoroughly assessed and then designed routines that would work to balance my strength and build my flexibility. Its important to point out Linda’s key ability to accurately access an athletes strengths and weakness and build a customized program to help them reach their potential. Her customization doesn’t stop there! Understanding athlete’s busy work and life schedules, Linda built out a work out portal that athletes could access to complete virtual training. I have relied heavily on that per my work travel schedule and most recently with COVID travel and gathering restrictions I keep my training on track with her virtually through video workouts in my home and outside field practice sessions. Overall, I feel Linda and I formed a very successful partnership where I bring my “mechanics of movement” and learned muscle memory from years of other competitive sports and she coaches and trains the motion into technique. She compliments that with designed strength and flexibility training and nutritional insights to result in maximum results.
If it sounds like I’m a Linda Hughes fan it’s because I am. She has made a difference in my life and throughout training and practices, we have formed a friendship build on a foundation of respect.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions as I am happy to support this reference for Linda
Cheers!
